How We Test — The Process

Each review takes 2-4 weeks from start to publication:

• Purchase — Every product is bought at full retail price under a real customer name. We never accept free samples, review units, or brand sponsorships.
• Testing — Minimum 2 weeks of real-world use. For electricity plans, this means actual daily use in normal conditions, not lab benchmarks.
• Verification — Key claims are independently checked. Prices verified within 48 hours of publication. Specifications cross-referenced with official documentation.
• Write-up — All criteria scored, weighted, and converted to our rating scale. Published with evidence.

Our Scoring System

9.0-10: Exceptional. Best in class. We'd recommend to family.
8.0-8.9: Excellent. Minor trade-offs but strong overall value.
7.0-7.9: Good. Solid choice but not category-leading.
6.0-6.9: Average. Acceptable but better options exist.
Below 6.0: Not recommended. We explain exactly why.
