Electricity Prices Victoria 2026

What is Different About VIC
Victorian Default Offer (VDO)
VIC has its own default price, set by the Essential Services Commission. Retailers must advertise their discount against the VDO, not the federal DMO. This makes comparisons slightly different from other states.
$250 Power Saving Bonus
The Victorian government runs a Power Saving Bonus program. Compare your bill on the Victorian Energy Compare website and you get $250. No strings attached. I have claimed this myself. It is real.
More Small Retailers
Powershop, OVO, Tango, Amber Electric, and several others are active in VIC. The market is deeper here than in NSW or QLD.
