Hi, I'm Jay. I spent 8 years in the Australian solar and energy industry. I have installed panels on hundreds of roofs. I have seen the bills. I know what a good feed-in tariff looks like and what a rip-off looks like. Most Australians are on expensive standing offers and they don't know it. Their old plan expired, the retailer rolled them onto the default, and they have been overpaying ever since. Sometimes for years.

I built WattCompare because switching takes 5 minutes and saves hundreds of dollars, but most people never do it because comparing plans is deliberately confusing. The retailers want it that way. I don't.
